When to drive your car to the parks vs taking the Disney bus?

Rented a car for the first time this past trip and loved it. Stayed onsite and didn't use the buses once. Not that the buses are bad or anything, but the freedom with our own car was much better. No standing, no waiting in lines, always had a seat with our car. I didn't find the walk to the car that bad either.

I must be in the minority, but our family loves to take the ferry to MK. Just builds up the suspense somehow, seeing the castle in the distance.

Thanks for all your help. So many details... I drive myself crazy.

I don't know if I should pity or envy the poor souls who do no planning.

But I can't help myself. For me, it's part of the trip.

The Polynesian is right next to the TTC so to get to your car after going to Ohana just walk over to the TTC where you pick up the tram to get to your car.
