When to do Palo?

We will be going on the 7 day Western in 7 weeks. First time on DCL. What nights should we not miss in our regular dining rotation? Have 2 DS so don't want to miss pirate night- can anyone tell me when that is?

I'm not sure when Pirate night us, but I'd guess Tuesday or Wednesday...IMO, you should consider dining at Palo at 6pm the last night of cruise, as youve already enjoyed all 3 of your rotation restaurants 2x...I recommend 6pm time since Palo can be a bit of a "dine", taking every bit of 2+ hours...I would then see the 830 showing of Disney Dreams, followed by the incomparable "Til we meet again" in the atrium....Of course, you should also consider packing most of your luggage earlier in the day, since DCL recommends that you have it in the hall 11ish....

Most people say (and I agree) that the night to do palo is the second night you are in Lumieres, since they only do the light show the first night.


Of course, you could always "double pump". But that is only for the truly brave....

The light show is in Animators, not lumieres....
This time we are doing Palo the night it is formal night since I don't care for anything on the formal night menu.

Well, we had PLA rotation and didn't want to miss formal (mon), semiformal (thurs), or pirate night (weds). We also didn't want to miss the Golden Mickey's (mon), Hurcules (Tues), or Dreams (thurs). That left us the WWTBAM night on Sunday night. We went at 7:30 so we had time to take the kids around to the characters beforehand, take DS to the club, & drop DD off with our DIS friends to spend the evening with their DD.
