I have a good friend who is a Disney CM and she said how she can get us half off the price for the resorts.(She is staying with us) We are going first week of December. So I researched all the resorts and fell in love with Port Orleans Riverside. When she called to make the reservation, they said for the CM discount, the only resort we could get was Disney Caribbean Beach Resort. We booked our room, but they said if we check back later, POR might at a later date have openings for the CM discount. So my question is....does anyone know when is a good time to call and check? I don't want to be a stalker and call every week. LOL I know CBR is amazing too, but I had my heart set on POR. Thank you :cool1:

It doesn't hurt to call every few days. The resort might open up as people do cancel all the times.

Once when we had two rooms at the Yacht Resort on the club level only thing was open was the garden view. I wanted lagoon view. Every time I made a payment I asked. Got lucky and she changed it over but as she finished with my ressie she went to book the other room but it wasn't there any longer. Said that is okay. Two days later I made another payment asked about the other room if a lagoon was there but wasn't so I hung up the phone & was looking at the web site & bingo it was there. I started to fill it out as if I was going to get it while I was on the phone. Got the same person & she was able to grab it before I hit submit. Lol. She said if I did submit I could cancel the room that I didn't want. So it doesn't hurt to call.

It can't hurt to check every few days or once a week. Good luck :goodvibes early mornings or late at night. I did mine anytime during the day.

If she's staying with you she can actually get 60% off the room not 50%. If she's not staying with you she can get you the friend and family discount of 50%

She did say she could get 60% off, but when she called, they said she could only get 50% for that week (Dec 2-7) and the only resort available was CBR.

have her book the dining plan!!! We paid $28/pp/pd for it and it was SOOOO worth it at the CM price!
