When to Book??

We went last November and I didn’t start planning until early September. I think I just got lucky with the fall value season discount codes because I alot of places were completely booked that week but I ended up getting a great rate at ASMv.

Now, we are planning on going again around the same time – early Nov ’05 or early Dec ’05. I know November is considered regular not value this year so I may push to December. But the only reason I can afford to go again so soon is because we got such great rates on the resort, air and rental car.

This time around if we can swing it we would love to try to stay at a deluxe or maybe split stay between a deluxe and moderate or maybe just a moderate. It all depends on how much of a discount I can get. Now that I have the date and plenty of time to plan, what is the best way to ensure getting the best discount rate on the resort?

If you are definitely planning on going, I would book a room at a rate you can fit in your budget now so that you have a room. If and when the codes come out, you could then upgrade if a code rate is available at a resort you want to stay at. I always prefer to have my room booked.
