When to book our trip

Disney has a lot of good deals going on right now, but iam planning a trip at the end of April 2010. Is there any way to find out if they are going to have any deals then or should I book our trip now. Thank you!

First of all, welcome to the Disboards! You'll find a wealth of information here.

You need to go over to the Codes & Rates forums and look for the code watch thread for your time period. Everybody here on the Boards watch for special offers and will let others know if a great deal comes out.

I usually book our trips in August and start to pay on them. If a special offer comes out after I have booked, I call Disney and ask that they apply the deal to my existing reservation. I have never had a problem applying one.

This actually is a good idea. I wanted to book early to make sure I get the room I want but I was also wanting to see if there were gonna be any good discounts or offers. Thanks

I like to go ahead and start making payments too. It's like having a Disney vacation on layaway!

Agree that you should book now ... then stayed tuned to mousesavers.com and the disboards for when any discount codes come out. You would then call to apply them to your reservation.

If you have a AAA membership, you can ask to have the AAA discount when you call and then you would at least have something at this point. You can always replace it with a different code if something better comes along.

As with all codes, there are just so many that they offer at each resort, so for the best selection, you will want to act quickly once a discount code is announced.

REMEMBER, you put down a deposit now which is completely refundable within (I think) 45 days of your arrival (for packages) and for room-only it is fully refundable up to just a few days before arrival. At this point, it is easy to change/adjust/cancel with no penalty.
