I am hoping to fly out of Buffalo or Rochester in April...10 - 17th..in the last week the prices have gone up slightly..I have heard I should wait a bit because they will likely drop again. I am getting nervous and am thinking I should just book it. I am leaning towards Southwest but also looking at Air Tran..Jet Blue is too $$$..

What are yout thoughts on that? Do you think the prices will drop? I have downloaded the DING thing but so far nothing...

best time to get a deal is 21 days from depart date. sometimes.

I haven't seen any Ding's to Florida rom Buffalo, Detroit or Pittsburgh in a very long time. If you are flexible with your days you can get flights or $64.00 one way so I would not wait.

I found the following with Jetblue on your specific dates and flights are nonstop. The issue is the return light which cost more and looking at other airlines Airtran does have a return flight on Apr 17 for $79.00 + tax = $100.40. You could book the one way down with Jetblue for $64.00 + tax = $74.70 and return with Airtran for $100.40. Total return would be $174.70. For the difference of $15.00 I would just book the nonstop flights both ways with Jetblue.

I wouldn't wait...I have seen the trend of them going up rather than down these days...:confused3

From my experience tracking flights for Saturday departures to Orlando, you seldom see prices decreases, if you can travel on a Tues. or Wed you are more likely to see a decrease.

We are going Sept 18-26 & I'm just waiting for the sales to come out now. Last year we went in Sept & I booked our flights in Feb. I've found the earlier you book the better. We flew down with Airtran for $59 each way out of BUF. Right now their sales are up to May, have you checked with them?

Airtran is $64.00 for nonstop flights right now so I don't know if you will get much lower.
