When to book early December Airline Tickets?

The rates for airfare for early December [5 -12] seem very high now. When is the best
time to book for early December? I am trying to book a ticket from Omaha to New Orleans.

if its for travel before the 15th of dec then you can actually wait until end of sep or begin of oct. they will have sales for that time frame out by then. last yr for travel on dec 1st I bought my tkt on oct 17th the day teh sales came out.

Got a discount on Delta for early December last year on October 10th.

This info is very helpful for me too! We're going Nov 29 this year and I've been debating when to purchase them due to how high they are right now and gas prices and all.

Last year we also went December 1 and purchased our tickets last February! They were $199.

Right now they are fluctuating between $235 and $245.

Thanks for your replies. I will wait until mid October and see if there are any sales. Last year I was able to buy 2 round trip tickets from Omaha to New Orleans for $170.00 each. Lilly
