Will we be getting into a virtual que like HM to ride it, or will it be one of those Lightning Lanes you have to pay extra for? With Tiana's getting a bad review at WDW, I imagine the one at DL won't be much different. I won't be back at DL until next summer, so I'm hoping the novelty will have worn off by then. Hopefully by then I can book it as a lightning fast pass. I'm not really looking forward to it considering the one at WDW isn't as great as a lot of people thought. But we'll see, we may be pleasantly surprised.

WDW put it under their MultiPass offering + VQ, wouldn’t be surprised to see DL follow suit. As for bad reviews nobody seems to care, the ride is THE hot ticket at MK this summer with no signs of slowing. I expect it will be still be the hot ticket in both parks by next summer.

I'm hoping the Disneyland version might be a little better, since rides can vary from park to park. I know it wouldn't be drastically different, but maybe somewhat.

I still think it's worth riding at least once so that you can make your own opinion rather than relying on a vlogger. I do have hope that Disneyland's version will fix the pacing issues the WDW version has due to the constraints of the building. I do think the WDW version is a downgrade overall but I am curious to see how the DL version turns out.

By next summer you will easily be able to rope drop this attraction

Even if it costs like ROTR, this ride won't have that kinda demand and has a pretty good loading system.
DL typically hasn't had much success with the single pay LL rides. They removed Webslingers and Runaway Railway pretty quickly. I think the demand in CA is just not there to pay individually for a ride. Both ROTR and RSR you can typically buy an almost immediate return time. I think DL operations finds more value by putting the rides in the regular roster of LL offerings to get people to buy that.

I do think it's likely Tiana's is an individual pay LL for at least a period of time, but it might switch by next summer.

Most likely, my main point is anyone coming next summer should be able to get on the ride pretty easy if they rope drop it

Oh, I totally agree. I definitely plan on riding it. I'm just not going to pay extra to do so.
