is there any chance one will open up? is there a waiting list that a person can sign up for?

I didn't think getting a reservation for Jan. 5th between 5:00 and 8:00 would be tough this far out, but apparently I'm already too late. Any advice on this topic would be much appreciated, thanks!

There's always a possibility. CG is a very popular restaurant though, especially between dinner time and fireworks time. It's likely even more popular with people trying to fit in their "last chance" ADRs before it closes for about 6 months (I think it closes in mid-Jan until "late summer").

Best bet is to keep trying. Also, if you are an odd numbered group, try adding one and seeing if times open up. It's a typical issue with the system (note: even though CG is a CC-guaranteed ADR, you won't be charged if one "person" (in quotes, because this is a fake person) doesn't show up, only if none of you show up without canceling properly).

Thanks for the help. We're a party of 2, so I can't imagine changing the number would help. No waiting list eh?

They close Jan 6th for refurb. I think the last night before closing would be popular. I would keep checking though. Since your credit card get charged if you don't cancel I would think there is a good chance something might open up.

I have heard the refurb is being pushed ahead to February but the Disney website is still saying January 6, so they may be sticking with that date.
