when should we go january or may? its first thime to disney and we are just going for the theme parks really so whens best for us to go thanks

I would definitely go for May. The weather is more uncertain in January.

hi, its our first time going also, and we have opted for May. I am a notorious pre-planner and researcher and have changed the date several times. May seems to be the best time (outside of Oct or early Dec) to go for low crowds, good weather and not falling into holidays (apart from Memorial Day at end of May).

A great time to go, we wouldnt go at any other time of the year, weather is hot(not humid), parks and lines are reasonable!.

Memorial weekend is abit of another story, but if you plan non park days on these days it wont be a problem, dont forget also its mothers day towards the end of May to(in America), so that usually brings more people out!.

Its a great time to go, and I would pick this over January to(better park times,longer hours etc)

Another vote for May. Lovely time to go, great weather, manageable crowds and lovely long, light evenings. Best holiday we had at WDW was in May.

Earliest we did was February a couple of years back...it got waaaaaaaaaay cold and not a time of year I would consider going again, unless we had no choice. Parks dont open very long, gets dark early, water parks closed, lots of rides in refurb...you get the picture!! GO MAY!!!
