When should we except member documents?

While on a Disney cruise the week of 4/9 we took the plunge and bought into DVC-AKV (welcome home to me YAY! :cool1:). We did all the closing documents while we were on the cruise.

I want to book a trip at AKV for 4/5/12 (Easter week 2012). I understand my 11 month booking day is right on top of me, but I've received no member documents yet in the mail.

Does it normally take this long? I am going to call this evening and inquire, hopefully they'll be able to tell me what I should do as I do not want to miss out (I expect things to book up since it's Easter)!
 
You should be able to call and get that information and book immediately. They are able to work these things out on the back end even though you haven't received the paperwork yet. Did you get assigned a dvc guide on the cruise?

If not I would recommend contacting MS, and they should be able to help you.......
 
No, they did not assign us a guide on the cruise.

I will call MS as soon as I get home this evening!
 
We purchased our membership aboard the Disney Wonder back in March 2011. It looks like we received all of our documents when we signed the closing papers. Haven't received anything since except for the Maintenance Fee bill. We did log-in to the DVC member website and viewed our account information there.
 

oh! I am going to pull out my paperwork and take a look.

I don't know why I thought we were waiting for something in the mail :confused3

I just checked my documents, I have the sheet with our club ID, but it indicates we will be receiving a "one-time activation code - this will be sent to you by either email or regular mail, once your contract closes...Each person listed above will individually receive a one-time activation code once your deed is recorded and the contract is closed"

So we need that code to log on - and we definitely did not receive it yet. i got home too late to call tonight, so I will be calling tomorrow morning!

MS can give you the information necessary to get on-line when you call them.
 
You shouldn't have any trouble booking at AKV other than Concierge at 11, 10, 9, or 8 months so you have plenty of time.

I just bought a few days ago, and Steve, is booking me for June ..in a few weeks! I called them this morning, they took my number. I was already in the system! So I would call!
