When should I buy airfare for next June?

I will be flying from Louisiana to Las Vegas next June, then renting a car to go to Disneyland for the first time!!! For all of you veteran flyers, should I buy the $281 tickets as soon as they come out next month, or wait until it gets a little closer. I could never wait until just before as I don't have the nerve. We have a large party and our dates /times are not flexible. Is $281 a good price for round trip from south LA to Las Vegas? It seems to be the cheapest. Is Continental a good airline to fly on? Will they wait until the last minute and change the flight times drastically like another airline did? Thanks so much in advance!!!!

To give you some comparison.............we flew Continental from Cleveland to Vegas 2 weeks ago for $240(Cleveland,Oh to Vegas)
I booked our flights(non-stop) 4 months in advance.
I would sign up for Travelocity's e-mail alerts from your 2 closests airports.This way you will know when the flights drop in price.
We always fly Continental only(for FF miles) and never have had a problem.
If I were you I would wait a while, until the price drops below $250 for a non-stop flight.You have plenty of time.
