Are you shoo'ed right out as soon as the last firework is done lighting up the sky? According to the park schedule, closing times and Wishes in January are the same time, so I was just wondering how super rushed we were going to be to get to the busses afterwards?

1. No.
2. Happens very frequently. Happens EVERY night at Epcot & IllumiNations.
3. Nobody is "shoo'ed right out" of a Disney park at "closing time" or after a fireworks event.

The Lands will close around the official park closing time, including the attractions. Usually Main Street shops will remain open till an hour after official closing time, so you will have plenty of time to ease out.
No need to rush for the busses as you will not be alone there :rotfl:
Better to wait till the crowds are gone. Resort busses will run till an hour after closing time.

Thanks, yes... I would rather take my time than get my foot taken off by a stroller doing a mad dash to the busses. LOL!! We'll just slowly make our way, until a CM comes along and tells us that we're moving too slowly. lol

For years we saved our shopping until after the parks closed ... yeah it was crazy but it let the crowds die down either in the lines for the busses or the trams to the parking lots. I generally figured that as long as the cash registers were ringing they were open!

That is not done at a Disney park.

As others have said, you're not hurried out.

We stayed at the hub after the fireworks and when it thinned out quite a bit, a photographer showed up. We got some great pics with the castle as a background and no guests in the background- I don't know if this happens often, but it was really nice to get those pics!

Absolutely no hurry- we found it to be the longest wait of our trip to get on the busses- might as well be inside the MK as standing in a line for transportation.

We usually get an ice cream at the parlor on main street and enjoy the atmosphere! No hurry to leave, no one has ever asked us to leave. :)

We love to take our time walking out. We take advantage of the emptiness taking pictures, and getting a snack.

We have no time in our Touring plans for shopping during the day, so we do all of our shopping at the end of the night. In fact, a lot of times we leave the parks and head straight for Downtown Disney!

It makes a late night, but we can sleep when we are back home!
