As titled.... My MK day will be on a Monday opening at 8am. (I know Monday is not a good day to hit MK but too late in the game to shuffle my FP+ around).... I doubt my family will be able to do rope drop as we arrive the day before after driving 20 hours... If we get to the gate between 830-9am, what will the crowd be like? We will be happy if We can do our 3 FP+ rides (all scheduled in the morning, 9am for SDMT, 10am Peter Pan, and 12pm Buzz), plus some rides that usually have less wait time (Winnie the Pooh, PhilharMagic, Laughing Floor, Carousel of Progress, Hall of President) and then leave the park at 3pm to have an early dinner at Ohana. Is my plan/expectation realistic??

You should be fine with what you're hoping to do. The closer to 8:00 you can get there, the more you will be able to do. I would say 75% of guests are just like your family, and that means 75% of guests will be getting up and getting to the parks at about the same time as you. Let's hope that long drive tires everyone out and you get to bed early. If it were me, we'd all take showers the night before, set the alarm, have some grab n go breakfast in the room while we all get ready and be at the bus stop by 7:30. That plan still doesn't get you to the park before rope drop, but you will be there around 8:00, which is still loads better than 8:30-9:00.

You'll be fine. We went on July 1st (last year), crowd level 8, it was an EMH day, but since we were off-site guests we didn't get through the gate until 9:10. And honestly, it was probably our best morning yet for MK, we were still able to get a lot done. EMH or regular morning opening really doesn't seem to matter, the crowds don't start really building until around 10:00, so that hour from 9-10 you can get a lot done. Anything before 9:00 is a bonus.
