When making reservation do I count my 4 month old?

When they ask "Party Size" do I count the baby because they need room for our car seat, or do I only count eating/paying parties?

I find that the availability of the reservation changes based on that ONE number difference.

count the baby...Disney does, even when the infant's not eating.

If you book with the lower number, and then you show up with an extra, you'll probably wait longer because they may have to bump you up to the next-sized table. Might as well get it right the first time, save you hassles later. :thumbsup2

Ok - thanks!
I did count her. I could have a better time slot if I didn't, but I was afraid there wouldn't be room for her w/o a hassle. I will leave it! :)

Bolding mine.

And this is why you count infants. Whenever someone asks this question I always ask them "if you don't count them, where will you put them?". Without an accurate count, there may not be anywhere to put a high chair or stroller at the table. These items can not be left in the walkways so there has to be an open spot at the table.

Yeah - I only wondered if I claimed 7 and only showed up w/6 paying members if that would bother them more than having to make room for a 7th person when they'd only planned room for 6...

I noticed at Cindy's Table it asked ages, but no where else... I know that is for payment.

Yup count the baby because Disney will...and if the baby is the 6th person in your party they will add gratuity to your bill even though the baby didn't eat a single thing..FYI kinda crazy in my opinion!

When I travelled to WDW with a 4 month old, I held her at every meal. She was far too small to sit up in a high chair, and strollers are not allowed in restaurants. I did count her for every reservation (and her cousin who travelled with us and was only 3 months old), but it was so ridiculous having 2 extra chairs at the table for every meal.

But, with 2 babies, I'm sure those extra chairs were filled with baby stuff!

Also, to give Disney credit for consistency, babies also count at CRT in determining how many photo packages you get (because of DS1, we'll get a 2nd photo package, as he's the 5th person, even though there's no charge for him)
