I read the Kingdom Keepers! I just love them. When the new ones come out, I take them to school to read and end up not paying attention for the day. Very scholarly, I know. But I can't help it!

Cruise...I get sick on everything as well. I need to take Dramamine all the time now (two doses a day at WDW) and I did fine on the cruise. Never even had to take it!

We love DeVine too. I have this pic of her blown up in my dining room!!!

So why the dramamine at WDW? Was it because of flying? I am going to stock up on that stuff and maybe get the patch too just in case

I stayed at All Star Sports last March. It was my first stay at a value. I did miss the amenities that I am used to, like the mini-fridge, the ceiling fan, the covered bus stops, and the COFFEE POT!

Overall, though, I did like it well enough. I wasn't in the room much anyways. I spent most of my time in the parks.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip!

We've stayed at AsMu and Pop and I really like the layout of the resort. I like being able to walk through the lobby/food court on your way to the buses. Since we'll be driving, I'll be bringing my 4 cup coffee pot. You know we've got to have our Community!! I'm still checking for a moderate though. Maybe something will come available. If not, I'm certainly not going to complain!

Joining into your PTR


We ate at GFC in 2004. It was good, very nicely decorated and good good, but nothing special. It' all "simple" food and nothing really special going on for entertainment. I think you'll enjoy it but don't know if it's some place you'll ever rush back to. I think it's perfect for those staying at GF that do not want to try the upscale dining or the character buffet at 1900 Park Fare (this was us in 2004, we didn't want to do the fancy stuff but we were not interested in the characters they had at Park Fare).


That's a tough decision with the BBB. I guess it really comes down to deciding whether or not you want to rush to get there and if you want your daughter to be dressed up for the dinner or for the Halloween party. I would go for doing it the first day. Ive driven down a lot and have found that you always end up pushing yourself driving a little because you want to get there I think it'll be more special to have your daughter all dressed up for the dinner then for the Halloween party since a lot of little girls will probably be doing that for the party. I think the Princesses would also give her more special attention after a session at BBB

That's what I was worried about with GFC. We only have 4 sit down credits and I want to make them count so I might look into something else. I don't want just ok. I want something fabulous!! lol. Thanks for the heads up. If I can't find anything else, I'll be happy with it. It will be convenient eating there and then heading over to MK.

I forsee me wanting to go the whole way once we get on the road. DH will probably fall asleep but me and my GPS can do it alone! I am a night owl and really can go on just a few hours of sleep. It's all going to come down to if the kids sleep or not. I believe I will be handing out some benadryl that night.

I really like them. I limited myself to 2 chapters a night when I got into bed. Otherwise I'd be up all night reading! And I'm so not a reader so that's unusual for me. I'm going to wait to read the fourth one until the fifth one comes out. I heard it has a cliff hanger ending so I want to be able to go straight to the next one after I'm done. I hate waiting

I would try to find someplace else if you can because of the credits (Ive never used the disney dining plan but I know from on here that credits are HUGE). I don't know what you can get this late or where else your already going but one place I thought of that you might still get into is Kona Cafe. Personally, I think the food would be the same as GFC but the atmosphere is better. Your still close enough there to get to the MK easily afterwards.

Hey I am using Touring plans for this trip. You and I will be at Epcot the same day. The next day you said you are going to AK I will be at HS that day the 23rd. I subscribe to touring plans and AK is listed as a park to avoid on the 23rd. We are going to AK on the 24th. MK on the 25th. I just wanted you to know about the park to avoid thing in case you don't look at touringplans.com.

I take dramamine when I go. Yes, I use it for the flying, but also on days that I plan to do rides with a lot of motion. I don't want to be sick and feeling crummy for hours just because I wanted to ride Primeval Whirl or Dinosaur. Growing up, if I didn't take dramamine on a car trip, I would get sick. Guaranteed. I'm not as bad with the motion sickness now, but I don't like to risk it. I never take it when I'm driving - I don't need it, plus it makes me drowsy.

I think AS Sports has the best layout of the values. None of the rooms are particularly far away from the Hall. We were in the baseball buildings and we could walk around the front of the resort on a sidewalk and could avoid the crowds in the Hall if we wanted to.

You know what is crazy? My stays at CBR and CSR were actually cheaper per night than my stay at ASSp! Hopefully you can get a good deal too!

What else is crazy is the price of Community lately. It's pushing $7! I am so glad I stocked up at the 3/$10 price in December. I got 8 1lb bricks of the NOLA blend w/ chicory. I'm just now finishing out the last brick. I ended up buying the 13oz brick of Cafe Du Monde chicory coffee recently. It was on sale for $3.47 and I can't justify buying the Community with that kind of price difference. I'm still watching for a good sale on the bricks. The flavored, 12oz bags have been on sale sometimes, but the 16oz bricks of NOLA blend? Nope!

Hi everyone! Ok, so I've taken your advice and looked for an alternative meal to GFC and I lucked out and found a Tusker House character breakfast on the morning that we are going to AK!! It's for 8:15am though which is kind of early but I hope we can make it because that is one of my favorite meals

So, on with the plans. There really aren't much to share for our last day. Again, I don't have anything planned for the morning so we'll just get up and go wherever we want to go! We will end up at Epcot for a 7:15pm dinner at San Angel Inn. There is a funny story behind this choice...

So, I have been working on DH for a LONG time trying to convince him to let us go back to WDW in September even though we have our cruise booked for Feb 2012. Well, for our anniversary this year, he finally caved and gave me this letter:

You can't see, but he actually printed out the menu from San Angel. We celebrated our 9th anniversary and apparently, the modern gift for 9 years is a trip to Mexico! How thoughtful is that He's always been good about finding anniversary gifts, but this was the best yet Since then, we had gone back and forth about actually going and as you know now, we just recently decided to do it! Soooo, we will be celebrating our 9th "anniversary" in Mexico at this yummy restaurant

Question (that I should know the answer to) ... if you stay on the grounds, you don't have to pay for parking right? We have never had a car while on property and I am kind of looking forward to it. Considering driving to the parks instead of taking the buses. Hmmmmmmmm... whatcha think?

Is your anniversary on the 25th? That is my b day the big 40 baby..... It looks like the only day we will be at the same park is the 22nd. We are spending the whole day at Epcot. We can meet up sometime during the day there.

Wait....you're leaving Baton Rouge at 1pm and plan to make rope drop the next morning? Then the next night be up until midnight for MNSSHP?! I'm getting tired just reading this!

But it sounds fun! Not sure about "simple" or "go with the flow", but it sounds fun!

Maybe for your lagniappe you can hit rope drop at DHS so you can do TSM if you don't get to it on the 24th. Too many options!
