When is Your Spring Break/March Break??

Hello everyone,

I posted a poll on the Canadian site but I'm curious about US March Breaks as well. Ours is the week of the 13th, and I'm noticing that the longest park hours are the next 2 weeks. Dare I hope that this means we won't be there during the busiest week?? I'll trade shorter park hours for more rides on Buzz Lightyear!

We went from the 9th through the 16th of March last year. It was on the 12th that the crowds grew 10 times. I believe I had read last year that Florida schools were on spring break that week. From that point on it was wall to wall people. Before that it was quite managable.

BTW, we don't have a March break for school. We get off President's Day week in Feburary. We also get a full week off in April the week of the 17th. In March we're only off for Good Friday and the day before. We're also off the Monday after Easter.

Houston schools spring break is March 7-11th. We went on those dates last year and the crowds weren't that bad. Did see a lot of people arriving by the 11th.

Our break is Mar 19 through Mar 28.

Hmmmm....Interesting. Maybe the week of teh 14th won't be so crazy after all. ( I can dream...)

Tinkerbeth, you can't just look at dates, you have to look at when Easter is. When we lived in Florida we always got Good Friday and the week after Easter off. Now we always get the last week in March, which does coinside with Easter this year but usually does not. The week before and the week after Easter are most busy at WDW. When people talk about dates from years past, it really doesn't tell you anything unless you know when Easter was that year. Also, breaks are usually NOT statewide. We have hundreds of different school districts in our area and they all follow a different calendar. Ithink you should be okay thought....HTH....Lacee

So what should I pack for the weather will it be cold, warm, hot or rainy durning the week of March 20.

I'm in grad school and I'll be in WDW the week of our spring break, 3/5. I'm in NJ, most colleges around here have their breaks either the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd week in March. Elementary schools are off either the week before or after Easter (most have the week after, starting with Good Friday).

Our Spring Break is the week of the 7th. So hopefully it won't be very crowded, because we're bringing DD's friend who's never been to WDW before!

Our district really messed up this year. We do not have a week off in the spring. We have 2 long w/e's One in March for easter. The friday-monday.
One for passover. Friday-tuesday. It really is messing up a vacatioon. My ex has wednesday dinners and I can't get a week away bc he doesn't want me taking the kids out of school, they are in k and 3rd. I know there are debates on this board about taking kids out of school.
I hope this district doesn't do this again.
