Trying to decide on our next trip.
When is your favorite time to visit? Least favorite?
When do you think it is least crowded? Most crowded?
Do you have any tips about certain days to avoid?

Example: We found out you should always know which weekend in Febuary the Datona 500 is... because EVERYONE heads straight from Datona to Disney!!! It was more crowded on that Monday in MK than when we were there at Christmas!!

I'd be grateful for any and all insider tips like this!

My Favorite week to visit is the 3rd - 4th week in Oct. I love the weather & the F&WF.

I'd say my least favorite time I've been is Jersey Week. Massive crowds & off-season hours (altho lately I noticed the hours seem to have been adjusted for that week)

When is Jersey Week??

Least are Christmas week, school vacation weeks -- any really busy week. Best are any week in May and last two weeks in October, for the best weather (IMHO).

My favorite time to go is May. The weather is just beautiful and the crowd level is perfect - just enough people to provide a festive atmosphere. My least favorite time would be January or February because I don't like the cold.

Worst Weeks:
Between Christmas and New Years (Horrible crowds!)
Thanksgiving Week (More Horrible crowds!)
Jersey Week (Rude Crowds!)
Pop Warner Week (Rude, unsupervised kids and rude, tired adults!)

Best:
First full week of December (as dead as the parks usually get & decorations!)
2 or 3 week of October (MNSSHP, F & W Fest and great weather!)
January (as long as you avoid the first few days and MLK birthday)

Have a great time!

We always go the last week of September into the first week in October, but it was SO crowded this year, I'm going to move it to mid November next year.

Jersey Week is Election Week in Nov. The New Jersey schools have the week off, much of NYC & PA also have part of the week off - many families take advantage of the time off that most others schools don't have.

To top it off, it seems to coincide with Super Soap weekend & a golf tournament.

Jersey Week is the week that the NJEA Teacher Conferences are held. The conference days are Thursday and Friday and schools are closed those 2 days. This year the conferences are on 11/10 and 11/11.

Some schools might close a few more days that week but even if they don't, lots of families pull their children out for a few days that week. Since it's a short week anyway you can take a week off and only miss, at most, 3 days of school.

Aren't these inconsistent? As far as I can tell, Pop Warner has been the first full week of December for the last several years in a row, will be again this year, and is probable to be the first full week in December next year too.

July and August are so crowded and hot, at 8:03 am the line for test track was all the way to the fountains. September rained alot. February was too cold to enjoy the pools. May and June was nice. Some day i would like to go in December. Next trip is early March 06

We were just there 10-20 - 10-27 - the crowds were fine weather was great (except for Wilma threatening) - One thing I did notice was there was a British invasion. I asked a Brit in line if their schools were on holiday and she said yes. Apparently they have a trimester system and this was the last 10 days they would have off for like 4 months.

Hi!

I think the best time to visit would be late Jan early feb since the parks are not crowded and the weather is nice.

Worst time to go would be during spring break or in Jun-July it usually very crowded because of summer vacation and its super hot and rainy

I don't really know what days to avoid but good luck on planning your trip!

Unfortunately Pop Warner week is the first week of december this year, so that one is overlapping on your list. We will be there and I am hoping for it to be the "best" option!

My fav week is the week afte labor day. We usually go down the sunday or sat before labor day and stay 1-2 weeks. Parks are empty and can walk onto almost any attraction. Cons are hours are shorter and those pesky hurricaines!

hi
my favourite time to go is the 2nd week in december. the run up to christmas is great and being from the u.k. you don't expect christmas to be warm - so it does't matter if its cold. the atmosphere is great and mickeys christmas party is worth the ticket price. i really don't like going any time in november- it is a mixture of hot and cold weather and everything and everybody seems to be biding there time from the end of summer to the begining of thanksgiving and the holiday festivities! just my opinion don't flame me please :sunny:

It always depends when Easter break is but the last week of April was perfect. :sunny:

The best week for us it the week after Labor day....best time for crowds but still a little hot

Worst week is any week when the Brazilian groups are there....we have had bad experiences with them
