When is the slowest time to go to see the christmas festivities?

In 2012, DH and I went the first week of December and it wasn't crowded. I think it was even considered value season by Disney, but the decorations were up and we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. The closer you get to winter breaks, the worse it's going to get.

Hands down, the first two weeks of December, especially for weather AND crowds.

If you really hate "crowds," WDW probably isn't the place for you anytime. Sorry. That's just honesty. It's never "light" anymore. Ever. Those days have long-since passed.

We generally go during the first two weeks of December. The crowds are definitely lower than later in the month, but in the last few years, they've been growing. We did once go mid November, and it was completely dead. However, not ALL of the Christmas stuff was up, but the party was going on, and most the decorations were up.
