when is the new generation festival over?

anyone know exactly when this ends. i know when i went for st patricks day last year that years theme was finished. i have a trip booked for the start of feb but i am getting worried about the weather now so i am thinking about changing it. however we really did want to see the new generation festival again. i am basically weighing up the pros and cons at the moment. i know feb will be cold but very quiet. when we went the weather in march was fine but it was very busy (at least to my standards )

from past years Sonya, they appear to have a window of about 3-4 weeks between the old theme ending and the new one beginning, usually around 6th/7th April. So putting your trip back to say, very beginning of March, you should still see New Generation I'd have thought.

thanks elaine, i have been going through old trip reports trying to figure it out. it looks like if i go the first week in march i should catch it. then i start thinking i know it was busy but the fireworks were nice so why dont i go for st patricks day. i think i am never happy

You're putting me off March now!! We were there last week and it was definitely busier than when we were there in September last year. The crowds were bearable, any worse and it would have been a bit annoying! Oh, what to do now?!!

I was thinking of the end of March, I don't mind missing the festival. I was looking at dates in February and it's so much cheaper, don't think I could bear the cold though, 2 days last week it was FREEZING

yeah its the cold that totally is putting me off feb. we really had a great time on our last trip and would love to see the festival again. march is only 50 euros more expensive for me so i think i should go ahead and book it. i am currently booking in for the first week in feb, what was i thinking

i went the week of st patricks day so i am not sure if that made any difference. i say go for it. my busy really could be someone elses quiet

I am sure I remember reading that the festival finishes on the 13th March. No word on what the new theme is yet.

I am there from the 16th to the 20th. What do they do in between themes, will we get to see any parades?

the normal parades will all be on (ie Once Upon a Dream daily parade, Stars n Cars in the Studios etc) normal character meet n greets etc, its just the New Generation stuff that won't be taking place ie the hub stage show, New Generation character express etc.

It'll be the Magical Moments Festival, which looks like the return of Sorcerer Mickey which is brilliant.

Wow that looks great, I think we will definately be going back next summer. It would make sense as well with the release of fantasia in a few weeks.

on the 17th of march it will be st patricks day so you will see irish dancing, irish mickey and minnie, brass band, and fireworks

I'm still debating when to go, what will we miss if we go at the end of March seeing as the New Generation Festival will be finished??
