When is the best time of year to go?

We are thinking about going to DL for the first time. I know there are a lot of websites and lists that tell when are the least crowded and most crowded times to go to DW, but I wondering if there were any places that tell about the crowds at DL?

I am sure that holidays and spring breaks and things like that effect the crowds at DL like DW. I was wondering if there were any special events that happen at DL that cause the crowds to be bigger then at other times?

Any info would help

The most crowded time would be the week starting at Christmas and goign until New Years. Other particularly crowded times are Spring Break (around Easter), Thanksgiving, summer weekends, most holiday weekends, Special events (Gay Days, Grad Night), and 4th of July. Time where crowds are mangageable but still there are President's Week, weekdays during summer, and any normal weekend. Crowds are very scarce during weekdays in September, October, early November, early December, late January, and early February.

IS there a time of year that the park TRYS to have as many of the rides up and going as possible? I think we are going to miss POTC because of refurb again. And last time I was there Haunted Mansion was down. All in early spring. Like March 1st. This trip is for April 23rd.
Any thoughts so I can plan our next trip? (I havent even gone on this one yet but thats ok I can plan ahead!)

Just be prepared to have the Pirates ride down again, because there are rumors that the ride will be down due to the fact that the 3rd pirate movie is coming out in May, and the ride will have to be done by then. There is TONS of talk of the ride being down from Feb to early May. Keep checking, they may change the dates as nothing is set in stone. But as the movie is coming out in May, I cant see them not having it done for then.

Our absolute fav time is late October early November preferably after Halloween. The weather is nice, crowds low. The only minus is shortened park hours and refurbs. We are willing to put up with it though as the Christmas decorations go up and it makes for an awesome holiday if you are big Christmas people like we are

We enjoy early March before spring break crowds or early May after spring break crowds. We used to like Oct.,but things have changed the last few years and its now longer a slow time to be there.

I love to go in the Fall. We went last year for New Years' Eve and I was expecting huge crowds but it was fine until that day at about 7pm. Birnbaums DL is a good resource if you're looking for specific info.
