When is Jersey Week in 2009?

Doing some advance planning for a large family gathering. What are the dates for Jersey Week 2009? We're trying to go during the lighter crowds, nothing against NJ.

NJEA Convention is November 5, 6 and 7, 2009..so, that's the Thursday to Saturday of Jersey week.

I'm with you...I'm planning our '09 trips as well, and have mentioned the possibilities to family and friends! However, one evening earlier this week, when I realized I had enough points to invite one DS to VWL that December, my heart started pounding and I couldn't get to sleep that night. I hadn't thought I would have enough points! Yikes..sometimes I do get carried away! I wish you better luck!

I don't have any better luck with points. As my DH says we have enough points for us, it's just we have too much family that enjoys them too. Isn't that what makes DVC so much fun!!!

If our Kauai exchange comes through I'll be borrowing for 2009. I plan on adding on at GC so that might solve my borrowing problem.

Sure. I put our search in a little over a year in advance with dates from the end of Aug to mid Nov 2008 for the Marriott's on Kauai.

I put my search on the full 2 years in advance.....dates are from last week of May thru first week of August. Well here's throwing you some pixie dust on your search!

Jersey Week will start the Monday (or weekend) before the convention dates. So, this year, Jersey Week will begin on the 5th (or 3rd/4th). Crowds will pick up towards Thursday.

I taught in NJ and that was always a short work week. The Tuesday is election day, and Thursday and Friday was the NJEA Convention. So if you took your children on vacation there was only 2 school days that they missed.
