When is Dining Plan linked to Magic Bands?

If you order the Magic Bands ahead of arriving and then wait to purchase the Dining Plan until a few days before resort arrival, when or how is the DDP linked to the band?

Are Candlelight Processional dinners automatically linked also?

The dining plan is tied to your room reservation. The restaurant will be able to scan your MagicBand and get the details of your plan.

If you are using dining plan credits for the Candlelight dining package, they can scan your MagicBand for payment. If not on a dining plan, you can charge the CP package back to your room by scanning your MagicBand.

The band is only an account number. All access, DDP, admission media, your info, is in your account on the Disney servers/computers.

Adding the DDP after you receive the band doesn't change the band, it changes the info in your account.

So to clarify, your account will be updated automatically even though you are already in possession of the MagicBand? Is that correct?

And another question? We plan to purchase military tickets from Shades of Green during the first leg of our stay and then move to our DVC. Will be able to link those tickets on our MagicBands?

Nothing is stored on the MagicBand except for a unique id number that is linked to your MDX profile. When they scan the MagicBand, they will be able to see the details of your dining plan. It doesn't matter when the dining plan is added to the room reservation.

Once you get the actual tickets, you can link them to your MDX profile. They will then be available to any MagicBand that is linked to your MDX profile.
