When is dining plan free?

I knew that they were offering free dining in August, but what are the exact dates, and how do you get it? Thanks!

You're too late. It's late August until the end of September and had to be booked by June 24.

Like the previous poster said, you had to book by June 24th. However, IF they offer it in the future you will have to book a package. In that package you will have to pay full price (rack rate) for your room - no discounts - and purchase at least a one day base ticket for every memeber in your party.

Even when it's free it's not free. In order to get it you have to stay onsite, and unless you got a AAA discount or some other limited offer, you're paying rack rate. And of course next year, you'll have to pay your own tip and if you want a bowl of soup or a salad with your entree (or bread with your meal at Mama Melrose), you'll be paying even more.

I know that's not what the OP was asking, but that's the way the question struck me when I read it.

To further answer, this year if you booked your package during the bounce back promotion for those already staying at WDW in November and December, you could book a package including "free" dining from August 5 to September 29.

If you booked during the general public booking period, which opened in April and ended June 24, you could book your package for the period between August 26 and September 22.

As has been posted, the offer is over for this year.
