When is Christmas parade in MK filmed for TV special?

I'm almost positive Disney films some or all of its televised Christmas parade a few weeks in advance, I guess in case of weather conditions and such. Can anyone tell me when they did this in the past years? We'll be there December 13-20 and wouldn't mind our one shot of TV stardom...ok, two seconds of hopeful fame.

Last year it was filmed on the first Sat in Dec (12/7/02). It was interesting to see for a little while, but took ALL DAY to film! They would send one float down Main St every 30 - 45 minutes and a couple of times had to back them up and redo.
Main St was packed but on the bright side the ride lines weren't too bad for a Saturday.
