Winky Dink
Abbot and Costello
Amos and Andy
Kukla, Fran and Ollie
An assortment of westerns
An assortment of early (low-tech) cartoons

I remember watching some of them too! Also: Ding Dong School, Captain Kangaroo and Leave it to Beaver. I, too, had a major crush on Dr. Kildare:love: !

My family loved music so we never missed these:

Hollywood Palace
Andy Williams (loved all his brothers too!)

And don't forget game shows!

More often than naught, PBS was on rather than a network. I just remember being told to watch it so I could get smart. (I am talking about night time programming.)

Saturday mornings were totally OURS! Cartoons all morning, while learning about conjunctions, adverbs, and elbow room!

Skipping out singing, "Lolly, lolly, lolly get your adverbs here..."

I loved school house rock! A few years ago I bought the DVD set. :)

Reading the gun and the SOCTUS thread keeps on making me hear, "...and the shot heard around the world, was the start of the revolution... Take your powder, take your gun, go to General Washington..."

I don't think there are many in our age group that can use the word conjunction w/o the theme song going through our heads. During one of my AP classes in HS there was a conjunction question. You could hear people humming the song till they got to the part they needed.
