When I See A Glenda Fly: The Story of the IcyHot That Wanted to be a Toothpaste (F&W)

Oh, and a small aside...

So I was at my parent's house last week and my mom just looks at me out of no where and goes "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!"

"what are you talking about"

"Disney World. We have to go back, just me and you! I can't stop thinking about it"

It took me awhile to convince her that she's not crazy and there's a whole online community of people addicted to Disney World and she's not weird!
We were gonna take a whole family trip but we were gonna ahve to wait until 2015 so she could save up for it. She didn't want to wait that long and she totally offered to pay for me to go back!

:cool1: :hyper: :hyper:
STOKED.
We're looking at 2nd week in December 2013, Mid-February 2014 (avoiding 3 day weekends like the plague) or mid-April 2014.
I feel like life is good again with another trip in the works that isn't 750 days away!
I'M READY

We loved Via Napoli too. it wasn't loud for us, but we went at lunch.
How could you get bored????? I should've been your tour guide. you would never have time to sit then. :rotfl2:

Yeah, that was a new feeling for me!
We just had this super awkward length of time where there wasn't time to do anything and all the lines were long and it was right in the middle of the day where it was impossible to walk anywhere.

I am not crowd tolerant apparently :rotfl:

Time for our last day :(
We would be spending the first half of the day here

And the second half of the day wherever we wanted! We quickly decided that we wanted to go back to DHS to ride Star Tours again and see the lights again.

The goal was to get there before open and ride Soarin as many times as possible but the schedule I looked at the night before while setting the alarm didn't show any EMH! So when we got there the park was already open :scared1:
We got to Soarin and the wait was 30 minutes but the fast pass return time wasn't bad so we grabbed a fast pass and decided to stick out the 30 minutes.
We rode Soarin and got the absolute worst seats for that ride. The last two seats on the end most terminal in the bottom row. Makes all the difference in the world. Just wasn't as cool of ride.
We rode Living With The Land again because it's spectacular and then it was time to use our Soarin fastpasses (worked out very nicely  )
And we got the worst two seats AGAIN. Next trip I'll definitely have to ask for the middle top row. It's just a different ride! Mom thought it was awesome though. She's easy to please :lmao:
We had about 45 minutes until world showcase opened so we decided to shop a little and get a snack. It was so early that nothing was open or it was breakfast so we just got some packaged cheesy popcorn and mousegears. We decided to find some coffee and sit and munch and people watch so we headed over to the coffee area over by Test Track (so sad it was closed :( ) Mom got a pastry but I forgot to take a picture.

It was soon time for World Showcase to open so we headed to Mexico because a margarita was in order. We had about 15 minutes to kill, till so we sat down outside and waited.

And took pictures!

Well, apparently The Cave doesn't open with the rest of World Showcase :scared:

We thought maybe they were just running late so we rode the boat ride (I love it, Donald Duck is my favorite)
Nope, still closed. So we decided to ask :wizard: Apparently it didn't open until noon. Good to know. For a second I was worried it was a night time thing since that's the only time I ever went there! We decided to head to the left and check out some more pavilions while we waited for our margaritas.

And then it was time for lunch!!

This was my mom's favorite restaurant experience. She even requested it again for the next trip.

We had a nice window seat looking over the scooters

Such a pretty restaurant!

I got a merlot

And mom tasted it and liked it so she decided to get one as well!
And the lobster bisque
DisneyWorld337.jpg

She said it was delicious

DisneyWorld338.jpg

Mom got the Ham & Cheese Quiche which I assume she loved since this was her favorite restaurant
DisneyWorld339.jpg

and I got the mac & cheese

YUM

Here comes the Little Chef! Mom tried to give him some wine but his handler says he gets crazy with alcohol :confused3 don't we all?

Mom decided to get dessert. The cream puff thingy:

I ate the ice cream but didn't try the dessert. She thought it was delicious, though!

We found a photopass guy on the way out and got some pictures taken

(on our honeymoon, EVERY picture my DH was in, he put his foot up like that so we decided to make fun of him!)

The plan next was to hit DTD so we headed back to the resort to catch a boat and I started to feel REALLY SICK. I assumed it would be just like before where I could function and have fun still so we got on the boat anyways.
This was the worst experience of the trip. The boat would wait at every stop for about 15 minutes. GOOOOO there were like, two empty seats, they can wait.
And I know this is probably a safety thing and they have to do it but they would honk the super loud annoying horn every time they saw another boat, went under a bridge, or turned a corner. Which was pretty much the entire 20 minutes. It was so aggravating. We decided to take the bus home.
We finally arrived and we did a bit of shopping before I couldn't take it any more (I HAD to go to the Christmas store, on our honeymoon, we bought some bride and groom mickey and minnie ornaments and our tree fell over while we were out [soaking all the presents in water] and several ornaments shattered, including our special honeymoon ones) we replaced the ornaments and I also got some cozy looking Mickey Christmas PJs.

We headed to the bus stop and it literally took 45 minutes until a bus came. And then we had to stop on the other side of DTD. And OF COURSE there was a driver change.
It took us two hours to get home when the reason we were leaving was because I was sick.
Seriously?

We finally got home and went to lay down. I discovered REALLY fast that there was no way I could go out again that night. I was not feeling well :(
So that's how the trip ended. We had to get on the ME at 7AM the next morning. I was pretty bummed.
And it sucks to end the TR on a sour note.

But there you have it!
