When & how to book 1/31/26

I’ll soon be booking a trip that starts 1/31/26. Normally I’d book 11 months before that date - so 2/31/25, which of course doesn’t exist. I believe I’ll need to wait until 3/1/25 to book the trip? Can anyone confirm this?
The how question relates to what to prioritize. This is a trip that I’m treating my brother’s family to, I intend to book a 2 br. dedicated for his party of 6 & a studio for my party of two both resort view. Given that there will be 4 days of 11 month windows opening on 3/1/25 & that we’ll be staying at one of my home resorts - VGF & that I want one of the very few resort view deluxe studios in the villas building, should I grab the studio first & the dedicated 2 br. second?
I’ve no experience w/ booking an early Feb. stay & we usually book 1 or 2 br.s., thus I’d appreciate other’s thoughts.

I haven’t booked early February myself, but would grab the studio first and then move on to the 2br.

Yes, 3/1/25 is the 11-month out date for 1/31/26 and you should try for the studio first as those are the ones at the risk of booking quickly right near 8 a.m. at 11-months out. Your chances should be decent (but not assumed to be certain).

I would book a reservation that starts on 1/28/26 (as long as it extends past 2/1/26) and then modify it on 3/1/25 to go from 1/31/26 until the end of my stay. But then I own at BWV and it's getting to be crazy trying to book there.

Ah, a mini walk, I may try that w/ the studio - fewer points in play. The irony is that if there’s still 1 br.s available at 7 months when I can use my non VGF points, I may modify the studio to a 1 br. anyway.
I guess I should start checking the RAT every day to see how fast things are booking.
