With all the reports of bad service and items being removed from some of the menus, I'm wondering when the free dining plan is ending. I know it was only for a limited time. Anyone know the date?

It'll be interesting to see if things change back, once the free dining is over. :scratchin

I believe the last check ins were October 4th. So hopefully things will start dying down :)

no point in WDW extending it. October is a hugely busy month for them with the F&WF, Golf Classic, a bajillion conventions.

They used it to fill up a classically dead time of year.....it's just good business sense

We've been counting down the days until the free dining ends, and we're pretty thankful that it'll be dying down and hopefully mostly over by the end of this weekend. It's been nuts trying to get last minute PSs even at the out of the way restaurants, though our wonderful server at the Tambu Lounge on Sunday got us dessert, so we avoided the hour wait at Kona. :)

Free dining ended yesterday...I was there sept 29th - oct 4th...and I only had one instance of bad service and everything else was exceptional service...also the only menu change I ran into was for Ohana which had nothing to do with the free dining plan. I have heard reports of people getting bad service because they were on the free dining plan...honestly I think they were just unlucky or paranoid...all of our servers knew up front we were on the dining plan and they all went above the call of duty and made us feel just as great and important as ever! The one bad experience I had was at Mama Melrose..Our waitress was awesome in the beginning...but towards the end seemed to disappear..though I have to say in her defense she was training a new hire and the restaurant had gotten much more crowded. I think some restaurants may have filled up earlier than normal bc of all the ADR's that were made for the free dining. But the restaurants are used to having that many tables filled during busier times of the year so I don't see how it would cause any extra problems with service.
