When does the dining room staff eat dinner?

But they would have to be "off" in order to do that, right? Anyone know what their Max hours a day of work is and when they ever get a rest / or time off?

They must. We were in Cove Cafe one day and saw a crew member in there in street clothes and no name tag (we just happened to recognize her). She was sipping coffee and chatting with another person (didn't recognize her companion, but likely a crew member also). She didn't seem to be in any particular hurry and seemed relaxed and happy. It was nice to see.

One of my servers said that she normally worked 11 - 15 hour days, but it didn't matter because they rotate shifts and some days she didn't have to work the breakfast shift.

A CM at the Cove Cafe told me she had been assigned to the staff coffee bar the prior week. I was surprised to hear there was a staff coffee bar. She told me she liked the staff coffee bar better because she didn't have to smile as much. Not a Disney approved answer but honest.

Interesting that they have staff coffee bars and staff regular Bars. Makes sense that they could enjoy relaxing a bit and talking with their coworkers while on duty/ serving them. Wouldn't the staff assigned there miss out on tips for that week though? I wonder how that works.

They rotate the shifts in the "CM only" areas, so no one misses a whole week. Working the staff areas is just one of the things they do during their scheduled shifts.

The staff bar closes earlier then the ships bars. One cruise some of the contractors were getting the much cheaper beers from the staff bar until it closed and then they switched. lol

Don't tell DCL!
