When does DW decorate for Christmas?

Also when do parties and Christmas parades etc begin? We are considering a trip next year and don't want to miss the holiday festivities!

This year decorations in HS started going up in October.
MK was turned over from Halloween to Christmas after the last MNSSHP ended on October 31st and then was decorated by the first MVMCP which took place on November 8th.

MK decorates after the last MNSSHP occurs. EPCOT decorates after F&W is over. HS and AK usually decorate at some point after Nov. 1. The resorts have a lottery system for decorating but all of them are done by Thanksgiving.

The first MVMCP was held on Nov. 8 this year and the last one is Dec. 21. There is no Christmas-themed parade in the MK during this period other than at the party. Beginning the next day following the last MVMCP, the Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade is held twice daily thru Christmas Day. Holidays Around the World (EPCOT) began Nov. 18. The first Candlelight Processional was Nov. 22. Jingle Bell Jingle BAM fireworks at HS began Nov. 6.

We were at WDW from Nov 6-11 this year. MK and DHS were pretty much totally decorated. Nothing at Epcot yet and, honestly, I don't remember about AK. The resorts were not decorated yet either other than the Gingerbread House going up at the Grand Floridian.

We were there from Nov 9th-18th, and everything was pretty much decorated with the exception of a few resorts missing their trees.

For the full effect, go the week after Thanksgiving (works better when Thanksgiving falls earlier) or early December.

We were at BLT on Nov 3 and the holiday trucks pulled in at 11 p.m. to decorate. We watched them work till 1 a.m. and woke up to them putting the big tree up in front of the resort
