When does Disney usually raise ticket prices???? We are going next October and I am thinking about getting our hopper passes now????? How much time do I have? Does Disney ever give a warning of impending price changes?

Thanks!

Disney raises them when Disney wants to raise them. They are not on any set schedule.

Since the last across the board ticket increase was in September of 2002, I would say it would be a pretty safe bet that they will go up again before October 2004. ;)

You will hear about it approximately 36-48 hours prior to it happening. That's when they load the new prices into CRO/WDTC's computers and word starts leaking out. Disney doesn't officially announce price hikes as they understandably don't want a run of people rushing to buy tickets at the old price.

Actually ticket prices were raised in June of this year. We were there in May and the week after we got home Disney raised the ticket prices. There probably will be another price increase between now and next October.

I just heard from a cm today that there was going to be a small increase in February.Of course yhis is all heresay so take it as you will.

Disney only raised the prices of tickets purchased in person at WDW on June 1st. They did not raise the advance purchase price on anything or the AP/PAP price. That's why I said that the last across the board increase - that's when everything was raised - was in September 2002.

I'd say you can bet the farm on it. ;)

Is that the same CM that says that Disney is going to build a fifth theme park next year? ;)

Seriously, CM's do not receive that kind of advance warning on tickets going up. At the most, they will find out two or three days prior to it taking place when the prices are loaded into the computer system. Other than that, CM or not, they are only speculating just like everyone else.

I know Golden Oldie. That is why I said it is hearsay. Funny that she just mentioned it to me today though then I saw this thread. She said her manager told her to tell her friends and family to stock up before the new year. I had been debating on getting next year's tickets ahead of time and she seemed to think this was a go.
Of course it is speculation nobody can predict what Disney will do and I highly doubted that they would announce it this far in advance but I thought I would post what I heard.
BTW I'll ask her about the new park;) ;) ;)

This thread is just making a simple request into a complex mess! Hello hygienejean. Just purchase a voucher at your local Disney Store. It is good for whenever you desire to use it.

My experience is that they'll raise them in either Jan or Feb....they threw in an extra increase this summer but I'm expecting a raise in about 6-8 weeks of a buck or 2 (if past history holds)

Speaking of past history ;) this is a list of when the prices increased over the past decade. For the example here, I'm showing you the the price of a one day one park (single day) admission without tax for the comparison:

$34.00 - 06/92
$35.00 - 05/93
$36.00 - 03/94
$37.00 - 03/95
$38.50 - 02/96
$39.75 - 03/97
$42.00 - 04/98
$44.00 - 05/99
$46.00 - 01/00
$48.00 - 01/01
$50/00 - 09/02
$52.00 - 06/03

If the trend were to continue, one could logically presume another price increase during the first quarter of 2004. But you can see that as I said before, they are not on any set schedule. They raise them when they want to raise them.

Triple Reward Dollars......Last time it was double reward dollars I bought 3 PHP tickets and I got double rewards. Hoping its the same this time cause I need to buy some tickets for our upcoming trip in January.
