when does Disney open next years rates

Does anybody know when Disney opens resivations for 2008? I wanted to get a quote for 1/2008 so I can start planning.

About August is when rates should be out.

I have had them released as early as July, but that was 2 years ago.

I think August is a good timeframe.

reservations can be made 500 days in advance (so May 08 right now) but the rates are not guaranteed. The room only rates will come out early summer (June-ish) and the packages later summer (August). Anything booked now for 2008 guarantees you that resort/room type but not the rate. When the new rates are out, they will send you an adjusted confirmation

I started calling July 1, 2006 to get a reservation for June, 2007. I was told I could book a room only but couldn't book a package. I was told to call back once or twice a week to see when the packages would be posted. I also checked online daily. On August 16, 2006, I was able to book my June, 2007 package. I did this by telephone. The website still showed that the rates weren't available. My suggestion is to call once or twice every week. Lisa

Full-price ("rack") resort room rates:

2005 WDW resort room rates became available in late May 2004.
2006 WDW resort room rates became available in late May 2005.
2007 WDW resort room rates became available in mid-May 2006.

Full-price vacation package rates:

for 2005 were released in mid-June 2004.
for 2006 were released June 30, 2005.
for 2007 were released August 6, 2006."
