When do you see most movement on waitlist after 7mos?

I've been crazy stalking two needed nights during food and wine... multiple times a day. I do have a waitlist and I do have a cash res as backup. But, I'd rather use my points. Wondering if there is a certain time when you start to see movement on the waitlist or if I should probably resign myself to the cash res and stop driving myself crazy.

It's just luck. We always read that a waitlist at Boardwalk during F&W is impossible...well, guess what, we got ours at the end of September! Good luck!

30-40 days out. Members who are on the fence about whether they can go must cancel at least 31 days from check-in if they want to avoid having their points go into the holding account.

For food and wine I agree with LisaS. Members are waiting until last minute hoping that they can persuade family or friends to join them for F&W. But other times of the year, with the exception of the week after Thanksgiving and the first two weeks in December, members will move from their home resorts sometimes as much as a week after the 7 month mark. So waitlists get filled more quickly that first week.

Same as everyone above, its all about luck in people canceling their reservations. I used Waitlist the first time when I booked Memorial Day Weekend this year. I was on Waitlist for BWV only for 5 days before I got the conformation email. It was a super easy process and I got real lucky!

I've been lucky about 4-5 months out - usually managed to at least get something for all the nights I needed. Have not been lucky after that in my attempts to avoid split stay for the same stay I was able to get something off the waitlist or via stalking at 4-5 months out. Seems like I only get lucky once per waitlisted trip. YMMV.

It's really about luck, IMO.

You may see some movement once the F&W schedules are released. There are folks who book multiple stays so they have a reservation if there is an event they want to attend. Once they decide when they want to go, they then cancel any other reservations they have. I have been successful getting wait lists during F&W at the 30-day mark because that is another time when things pop up.
