When Do You Recieve Luggage Tags?

We are arriving at CSR also on Sept 8, and we received our luggage tags yesterday.
:coffee: :cheer2: :woohoo: pixiedust:

Are you asking about the decorative luggage tags that you keep & cherish forever? Or are you asking about the Magical Express Yellow tags that identify you as a Disney Resort guest?

We arrive on Sept 11 and our ME tags arrived this week. I think the souvenir tags with the castle & "Year of a Million Dreams" on it arrive 2-4 weeks before your arrival.

We received our luggage tags about a month before our July trip arrival date.

How many luggage tags do they send you? Thanks.
The ME yellow tags, I think we got 2-3 per person traveling. When we got our keepsake luggage tags for our April trip, we received 3 of them, one for each person on our reservation.

DME is sent out 6 weeks prior to check-in (2 tags per passenger, but you can call for more)
package materials are sent out about 5 weeks prior to check-in

if you booked through a TA, it goes to them on your behalf.

We check in on Sept. 1, and got our luggage tags about a week ago. I think it's one per person in the party.

I'm leaving in 5 weeks and received my ME tags yesterday! There where a lot of them, didn't count them since my kids were watching and they don't know we're leaving! But at least it was like 2 tags per person.

We leave Sept. 27

I am looking forward to my Luggage tags we booked a package this time last time was room only so no tags :(

We check in on Sept 6 and got ours yesterday. We actually got 2 different envelopes because we were originally booked Sports and got moved to ASMu. We ended up getting 6 tags in total.

We will be checking in at AKL on Sept. 8th and received our Magical Express tags (2 yellow tags per person) on Aug. 2nd (37 days out) and our ressie packet today, Aug 4th (1 luggage tag per person) (35 days out). :dance3:

Two different types of luggage tags, two different systems, two different purposes ....

Anyone who books a package through the Walt Disney Travel Company receives souvenir luggage tags. These are hard plastic, approximately credit card-sized, and are decorative, with some sort of design on one side. On the other side is a clear plastic sleeve, and inside there is a card where you can write your name and other identifying info. By the way, even if you use a travel agent, you are still booking through WDTC, so this applies to everyone who books a package.

Disney's Magical Express are completely different. They are paper, not hard plastic. They are long and are made of sticky yellow paper. These pieces of paper are pre-printed with several pieces of info: your name; the "master" name on the reservation (so if that's you, your name is on there twice); your reservation number; a couple identical barcodes; the name of your resort; and a 2-letter code inside a Mickey head silhouette signifying the luggage delivery zone your resort is in (MK, EC, AK, or DD).

You place one DME tag on each checked bag. After your luggage arrives inside your room, you should remove (rip off) the DME tags -- they have served their purpose and will never be used again.

The hard plastic souvenir tags are sent with a WDTC return address.

The DME tags are sent with a Disney's Magical Express return address.

I'm so glad you put the exact dates on here. I am down to 48 days today, but my TA will be receiving these first. I just can't wait to get my package! It makes me feel like everything is finally "real"!

I'll be doing this... when I get them!

CleveRocks,

2BusyPlanning,
I know the feeling. Getting the packets really make the trip seem real. I have been :yay: and:dance3: all day.
Won't be long before you are :yay: and :dance3: .
