When do you make your last payment?

I booked online and so far have paid for about 1/2 of my total trip cost. I have the money to pay the balance but was wonering...

Is there any advantage to waiting until closer to departure (I still have 100+ days) to pay the balance?

Once you pay the balance do they mail you something or do you get everything at check-in?

If you booked a package it must be payed 45 days from arrival. Theres no benefit to paying it off early. Your documents and vouchers will be mailed at the 44 day from arrival mark. Your tickets will be on your room keys.

I just paid mine last week, 45 days or so until our trip.

I like to pay off the balance as soon as I have the money. It's peace of mind, one less thing to worry about. And to me it is set in stone that we are going to WDW.

I used to pay everything off right away. But I'm one of those people who books as far in advance as possible, so I started making the minimal deposit at booking, then putting the remaining funds into a CD. This time I earned about $125 in interest and will be making payment in a couple weeks just before due date.

I paid off our trip in full yesterday! What an awesome feeling! It was exactly 45 days out from our trip and now everything we put back is shopping, tipping, extras money! WHOO HOO! Kat
