When do they release cabins for booking in 2005??

Hi all!!

I am knew here and am hoping someone can help me....

We would like to book a Catergory 1 suite (Walt or Roy) for Spring break in 2005. We wanted to go next year but both cabins were already booked and they aren't taking reservations for when we want to go yet.... We really don't want to take the kids out of school because we already take them out a week in Dec to go to WDW so we need to book almost the day they release the cabins so we can get the one we want. This will be our first Disney cruise and we want it to be the best ever!

The CM I talked to on the phone did not know the exact date when they were going to start booking for 2005 so I thought maybe some of you clued in people might know.

First things first, welcome to the DIS!!!

About the suites....I heard (through this board) that you can fax your requests in LONG before they open the ship up for regular reservations. For example, by the time anyone knew about the Christmas 2004 10 day cruise, all of the cat 1, 2, and 3's were already sold out to ppl who faxed in requests.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with how you go about doing this, but I'm guessing someone else here on the DIS will know!

You need to fax your request to Disney Cruise Lines, ATTENTION: Inventory Control Department, Fax No.: 407-566-7739.

In your request you need to specify which stateroom(s) you are requesting (you can request Cat. 1-3 or any stateroom of your preference), whether you want 7-day Eastern or Western, and the date(s) you are willing to cruise. Be willing to give several dates as your request will be taken first-come, first-served.

If you have already booked and wish to change sailing dates so you can get the stateroom you desire, you need to give your Reservation number as well along with the above information.

Booking dates usually open up 18-24 months prior. I'd start calling Disney and ask when dates are going to open up. If you read these boards frequently (as most of us DIS Addicts do!!) you'll probably find out when booking dates will be released. If you really want a certain stateroom faxing your request and staying on top of it is probably the best way to get your request granted. HTH
