When do they actually film x-mas parade

Ok here is the sad thing we where there last year when they where doing different parts of the filming. But the problem is I cant remember when that was. So does anyone out there know when they will be filming it again this year? And do you know who they have picked for the Grand Marshals?

first Saturday in December is when they usually film the MK parts. Last year they did some filming the first Sunday because Regis and Kelly couldn't get in in time due to a blizzard so we got to see some of it while walking down Main Street. It was a zoo!

The other portions (AK, MGM etc...) are filmed all different times.

Thanks, We usually go that first week after Thanksgiving (supposibly the slowest week of the year) and we are schedule to go there again that time. We got to see Regis and Kelly in the box but thats it.

Any ideas who is hosting it this year?

When we were there the first weekend in December back in 2002, they were filming at MK.

We were there last year on both the Saturday and Sunday the parade was filmed, although Regis and Kelly weren't there until Sunday. I also think small parts of the parade and/or characters were filmed on Friday. I would never want to be there again during that time. Main Street is jam packed with people and you can hardly get through. The people from ABC just "take over" (and I found them to be rude) and many sections are roped off and just getting around the MK was very difficult. When we arrived on Saturday morning at the MK we were trying to get to CP for our breakfast PS and had a difficult time navigating through the crowds.

And after putting up with all the crowds going crazy just because of the parade, the parade itself that was shown on TV on Christmas Day was such a disappointment. Probably the worst one I can remember in recent years. We turned it off.

The parade that is done for MVMCP is excellent, but this is not the same one you see on TV on Christmas Day. That one is bits and pieces of many different tapings done throughout the weekend. Forget all those "TV stars" in the parade whose names don't mean anything a month later and just do a regular Disney parade. That's what people want to see.
