When do these points have to be used by?

I have been a DVC member for 2 years now and still can't get me head round the points system!!

I have an August use year and my statement is showing my 150 points allowance for this year and 12 points "banked in" - total 162 for Aug 2011. Can somebody tell me how long I have left to use the 12 points and the latest I have to bank my 150.

Also, not sure on plans for October this year, if we do book it may have to be last minute. What is the latest you can make reservations using points.

The banked points need to be used by 31 July 2011.

You have until 31 March 2011 to bank any remaining 2010 points.

You can book and travel to a DVC resort at any time as long as there is availability.

I think your post is a bit confusing, though - you say "12 points banked in - total 162 for August 2011". If you are looking at your August 2011 use year and it shows 162 points, that would be your 150 points for August 11 AND your 12 points already banked there from 2010. If that is the case, you have until July 31, 2012 to use the 12 points and until March 31, 2012 to bank the 150 points from 2011.

What does your account show for your August 2010 use year - 12 points or no points?
