We are trying to decide when to book a trip to see the Xmas decorations and all the festivities of the holidays. When do they put up the decorations and start the parade? Also, does anyone know when the candlelight processional is? I know it is usually more crowded that weekend than normal. Just want to make sure my birthday trip is well thought out. TIA!!

The official holiday season at DLR is Nov. 21st through Jan. 4th this year. Some decorations will likely be up before Nov. 21st, but all will be finalized by that date. Additionally, there is usually a few week gap between when the holiday season officially starts and when it is in full swing (ie. the Electrical Parade starts to run again, extended hours, etc.) Check the disneyland.com website in the coming months for more information like that.

Last year we went the week of, but after, Veteran's Day and all the decorations were up, the parade was running, and the fireworks had switched to the holiday ones. It wasn't in full swing yet, DL was still closing around 8p during the week, but there wasn't much left that wasn't running

The dates for the CP haven't been announced yet for this year. My guess would be the 1st or maybe 2nd weekend of Dec. I'd keep watch on the boards and Disney's site for the annoucement though as I think the tickets sell fast.

Going to DL for the holidays is a wonderful treat! Have a great time!

I believe the Candlelight Processional is on the weekend of December 5 & 6.
