When do the deccies go up?

We are going on the 4th Nov for 3 weeks, will there be any festive decorations appearing over that time? I have tried looking for the schedule but I can't find my way around the newly designed Disney website very well.

Do any of you guys know?

I'm sure everyone in the States starts putting their decorations up the day after Thanksgiving which I think is 25th November. From your dates, looks like Thanksgiving is the day you return to the UK.

Someone else will hopefully be more informative !

Further to above, Thanksgiving tends to be as much of, if not a bigger festival for Americans than Christmas (don't forget, they only have one day off at Christmas), so Christmas doesn't get anything like the build up it does in the UK (ie, from September!).

They get Thanksgiving out of the way and then concentrate on Christmas and New Year, so you're unlikely to see much in the way of decorations until December.

Additionally, don't expect to see the word Christmas used much. Americans frequently refer to the Holiday Season, and use the expression "Happy Holidays", to avoid offending the millions of non Christians in the US!

When we were there in 98 we arrived on the 22nd nov. thanksgiving was the 27th. everywere was ready by then so I am certain you will see the parks dressed up if you leave them until the second week.

Oh goody!!! I am so pleased! I love Christmas or the Holiday Season! I usually have to be dragged out of the Christmas Shop at Downtown Disney!
