When do the Christmas decorations come down?

We are new DVC owners (yeah! ) and are planning trips for this year. We were thinking of going to WDW the first weekend in January 2013 (1/3 - 1/5) as my daughter doesn't go back to school until 1/9 (crazy!). Does anyone know if the park and resort Christmas decorations are still up that late? I know we don't take our tree down until January 6, so I'm hoping Disney does the same!

I'd love to know too. We were there through the Jan 3rd one year and Disney made no signs of taking down the decor (but we were at SSR which didn't have much about the resort) I suspect they keep the decorations up for the full "12 days". Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Usual pattern is that hotel decorations will come down about Jan 4 or 5 and park decorations in waves over the few days after that but there have been variances from that pattern. For example, in 2010 when it was cold (highs usually below 50, lows in upper 20s) for about the first half of Jan, they did not come down until just after mid-Jan.

I was down for marathon weekend this year. We arrived on the third and there were still quite a few decorations up plus they Osbourne lights were still going. by the time we left after the weekend most everything was down. So you stand a good chance of seeing lots of decorations.
