When do restaurant stop seating b/w Lunch and Dinner?

What time is the last lunch reservation you can get at most restaurants, and which restaurants close for a little bit between lunch and dinner? I tried to get an ADR for a late lunch at WCC for the 2nd day of our trip in August and the latest lunch time for us was 2:20. Can I get much later, or should I keep a close eye on it for the next 6 months? Last month I ordered off the lunch menu at a 4:50 reservation at San Angel Inn, so I know all the restaurants must not close for lunch, but i'm assuming WCC does since I find it hard to believe that all the times between 2:30 and 5 are booked for parties of 2 181 days in advance...

It really varies by restaurant. If it's a place that's open for lunch and dinner, the cutoff is usually 4ish. Some places close for an hour or so between lunch and dinner (3ish-4ish).
Others that are just open for dinner usually start at 5-5:30.
Places that are open for breakfast and dinner, but not lunch, usually start dinner up at 5.

My earliest dinner is 4:10 pm at Sci-Fi. I think if the menu has little difference between lunch and dinner there is little to no break between them.
