When do Mickey's Halloween Party tickets go on sale? Best time to go?

We are planning a trip to DL in October, and we would like to attend Mickey's Halloween Party. It looks like the DL tickets for this party aren't available for sale yet, and I can't find any information about when they might go on sale and what the dates might be. Does anyone know when they went on sale last year? I was thinking of going to the party on Halloween night, if I am able to get tickets. I saw that all the tickets sold out last year. Also do you need to pay for a full day pass and the Halloween ticket if you want to go to the park for the entire day?

I appreciate any insight into attending this event. If we can't go on Halloween day, we could go the weekend before as well. Thanks!

Hi,

The Halloween Superthread has lots of great info about the questions you're asking, I highly recommend checking it out!

I believe in prior years Halloween tickets haven't gone on sale until around July. In prior years a ticket to the Halloween party would get you into the park three hours prior to party start time (if party starts at 7, you were allowed in at 4pm). If you want in to the park the morning of the Halloween party you would have to buy a separate park ticket as well if the rules stay the same for this year.

Another thing to consider is that the 60th Anniversary may impact the Halloween parties, as it is impacting the Christmas holiday offerings, but nothing has been announced yet. I'm headed to DL the first week of October and am anxiously awaiting information myself!

In the past tickets have been available for purchase in July I believe. Your MHP will get you into the park 3 hours before the party starts, so 4pm for a 7pm party and 3pm for the 6pm party. If you want to get in earlier you will need a regular ticket.

There are rumors to MHP changes this year but nothing confirmed so the above info could all be different this year. You might want to pop over to the Halloween super thread, lots of great info there.

Dates and tickets are generally not announced until the summer. For the last few year the dates were announced in very late June or early July (on 6/25/2012, 7/1/2013, and 7/2/2014) with tickets going on sale to the general public a few weeks later (on 7/16/2012, 7/15/2013, 7/30/2014). There are usually pre-sales for AP holders, DVC, and Disney Visa Card Members. With the big 60th anniversary happening on July 17th, it wouldn't be surprising if the information about MHP was delayed until after that, but I would start looking in early July for more information (the Parks Blog usually posts the information).

Yes, if you wanted to go to DL for the entire day, you would need to purchase a regular theme park ticket plus the MHP ticket. Historically, MHP have allowed guests entrance into DL 3 hours before the start of the party (so at 3:00 pm on days when the party starts at 6:00 pm and at 4:00 pm on days when the party starts at 7:00 pm). However, if you want to go into the park from opening, you would need a regular park ticket.
