When Did you Get your Cruise Docs??

Any Canadians here who have gone on a DCl Cruise? How far ahead of your cruise did you get your documents? I am worried we have not gotten ours yet and we are leaving for WDW next Sunday (Feb 6th). The cruise is not until Feb 13th, but we won't be home to get our docs if they send them out that late! Help!

I've never been on DCL, but I have been on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Both times I received my docs about 3 weeks before sail date. If you don't get them Monday, get a hold of your TA, or Disney directly if you didn't use a TA.

When we did any cruises we always got our docs at least two to three weeks ahead of the cruise. I would call your TA or check with who ever you did your booking through. Good Luck and have a great time!

If you booked though a TA they will recieve them first and get them to you - Disney sends them directly to you.

We were on the Jan 23 Wonder and our docs were at our TA office Jan 13. So they should be arriving soon.

I was just told that they have changed their policies and don't mail them until 2 weeks before departure date. When I asked them what would happen if I did not receive them on time they said I could pick them up and fill them out at the pier-no worries, it just wouldn't be done ahead of time.

By law - your travel documents should be in your hands 14 days prior to departure. Do not blame your travel agent - its DCL who should have mailed them in time. If something happens and you do not receive them in time - you can get new ones at the pier - and it will not be a problem. My sister added on to our cruise 3 days before departure and hers were waiting for her at the check-in counter.

Have a great trip and try not to stress about them.

Thanks all - I will try not to stress - but, like most on this board I am a true planner and those darn forms would have been filled out to the letter WAY before the port - IF I had the darn package - still not here btw and we leave Sunday!! I am going to try and call Disney and see if they can send them to our resort - we are going to WDW before the cruise.

Hmmm - I hope they come before you leave! Like you, I am a planner and like to get everything filled out and organized before the trip so I have less thinking to do when I am on holidays.

We leave Feb 23 so I hope we get ours soon!

Did you call them previously to ask if they were sent?

Please let me know how it works out! We are also staying in WDW before (and after) our cruise but did not book the Land/sea pkg. We booked both parts separately.

Just got an e-mail from my TA today - she just got them yesterday. She is fwding them to AKL for us to pick-up there.

I was just going onto the boards and the little brown van pulls up just now - the driver comes out (and friend of mine) with a smile and says - waiting for me!!!

OK - now I am excited, and relieved (21 days to WDW and 24 to the cruise!!!)

Who did you book with? That's pretty far in advance -wish mine would come that far out too!

We booked with Dreams Unlimited. Not sure if this made a difference or not - but happy either way!
