When did they change these to 2 credit meals?? NOW $60!!!

Generally speaking, where's there smoke there's fire. Somethings up. These meals may not be 2 credits now, but may be in the future.

I agree. I think if it was really just a glitch, then ALL table service restaurants would have shown as 2 credits. I think this was an unintended sneak peak in to what is to come.

I'm going to print all my email dining confirmations and the pdf of the 2016 dining plan as it stills shows all those restaurants as 1 dining credit. Also the dining plan pdf also states "Valid for Arrivals 1/1/2016-12-31-2016" on the top right hand side of the first page and the only terms I see are that the locations and hours might change not the amount of credits per restaurant. This term is on every page, "Disney dining plan locations are subject to change without notice or liability. Theme Park admission is required for some dining locations. Operational hours may vary".
Even if those restaurants change to 2 credits, I think they will have to honor reservations made before the change.

This is also on the brochure and allows them to change just about anything they want -

"Operating hours, menus, entertainment, Characters, Disney Dining Plan locations, components and terms are subject to change without notice."

I still can't get over LeCellier becoming 2 credits. So not worth it.

Me either BUT there are those restaurants that are true signature restaurants and there are going to be those that it is truly a supply and demand, which is Le Cellier. It is way too small for the number of people booking it.

Supply/Demand not Signature could certainly be the case for the:
- Tusker due to the Dining Package and increased demands for dining in AK with the new offerings
- Akershus due to the upcoming popularity of Norway .... and is it a stretch to think the sisters may finally be seen there? Cinderella meets right next to her character meal. With the M&G a standby for now, having them in the restaurant would guarantee a popular meal.
- Chef Mickey, while blows my mind, continues to be so popular that it still can be hard to get.

Had breakfast at Tusker House(6/1) and dinner at Chef Mickey's(5/30) last week. Each were 1 table credit. Chef Mickey's was over rated. Also had dinner at 1900 Park Fare for 1 table credit.

I understand terms and prices change...but to double the credit cost for an ADR I made over two months ago - that's BS. I could see changing it effective for meals going forward after the change was made public, but it's just poor form to change it and then enforce retroactively to existing ADRs.

I called and was told it was a glitch. However, I am firmly in the "where there's smoke, there's fire" camp. I am
Going to, I guess, print out my confirmations tomorrow. If they change it and enforce it retroactively (which I highly doubt) I won't be going. It will be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Does anyone recall how Disney announced the news that LeCellier became a 2 TS restaurant on the dining plan?? Just want to see if there is a pattern to follow.

I'd be curious about the same and asked in a different thread as well. Did that happen intra-year?

Just checked my MDE itinerary for my dining (I have both Tusker dinner and CM). If you go to your specific dining reservation and click on "view details", then go to "view dining reservation details" and then click on "select disney dining plans accepted" - you can see that it says only "1" entitlement is required...at least for now.

Le Cellier became 2 credits for dinner on March 1, 2011 and 2 credits for lunch on Jan. 1, 2013. Both changes were listed in advance on the ddp.

Le Cellier dinner went signature in mid-2011 and Le Cellier lunch went signature on 1/1/2013.

As I mentioned on the ROL package thread, they have made similar programming glitches in the past that have turned out to be much ado about nothing. I guess we shall see this time!

Buffets two credits along side Yachtsman???? Bwahahahaha!!!!!

Le Cellier two credits?? Even more funny.

Yes, it sounds like maybe something for 2017 was rolled out early.

As much as I would like to not hoard reservations, had to book an 'extra/back-up' brunch ressie for CM, just in case...DBF has never been and wanted to at least try it despite mixed reviews, but will not be dinner as originally planned if 2 TS.

EDIT: As previously posted on the thread I created earlier (sorry, did not notice this one before I started mine), my TA friend called Disney on the TA line and was told that it was effective immediately for new reservations.

I've also started an ADR search for a Tusker House breakfast and booked an extra meal elsewhere, just in case. My Akershus is already a PPO breakfast, so no worries there. And then, if I have to cancel our CM reservation, it isn't going to ruin our stay. I do hope that they'll make good on preexisting ADRs if the change does go in mid year.

One thing I was wondering about... on each of these three restaurant pages, they are promoting "Disney Dining on Thanksgiving Day" which I don't see on any of the others (admittedly, I haven't gone through ALL of them). Wondering if it's possible that they would charge two credits just for the holiday meal?

I wonder how that would work...seems complicated and just prone to error by servers if half the reservations should be 1 TS and the others 2 TS :crazy2: All the more reason to check the receipts or make sure the server knows when we are seated. :sad2:
