When did ride photos begin?

Does anyone know roughly or exactly what year Disney started taking photos on rides? I vaguely remember a time before the digital photo pass era where some rose photos were printed and displayed at the end of certain rides

Not sure of the answer but I have a ride photo from our first trip down Splash in 1999.

With Disney, I don't recall specifically. But I know I first saw on ride photos at a different theme park beginning in 1988. So I wouldn't be surprised if Disney introduced it in the late eighties or early nineties
