lost 5.4 this week
What is everyone else's goals for the week?
Now, how do I make it smaller????
I don't know what image hosting site you're using, but on photobucket there's an option to edit your photos, and you then you choose 'resize'.
Get Piper's room cleaned!!!
Barb- What I'd been letting Piper snack on were things like light string cheese, the new nature valley granola thins, baked lays/cheetos, fruit, frozen yogurt, 100 cal bags of popcorn...she seemed to enjoy it, and the things like the baked lays and granola thins were close enough to "junk" food, that she didn't feel deprived.
lost 5.4 this week
I can't say for certain, because my little note pad with my weights is in my other purse, but I believe I am at
+1 for the last two weeks (while on vacation!!) I'm thrilled with that!
I am going to start back on my walking again, although I think I logged a lot of miles during the 5 days at WDW. I probably sweated off everything I ate there, which was a lot!! We did the Deluxe Dining plan, so there was plenty of food.
I will be doing a TR and will post the link here when it's started if anyone wants to follow along.
Welcome to the new castaways!!
Will catch up tonight with everybodu\y! Stopped at my sister's work and had to log in to say I went to my WW meeting and weighed in to find out I am...

So excited and so proud of myself. Through getting TOM last week and not having the best choices in the house and not making excuses not to be succesful!!!
Okay - off for a lunch date with Dan and a walk at the zoo!!!![]()
Hi everyone. I'm just getting started today, so no weight changes to report, but I thought I'd take your suggestion and give myself some goals for this week.
1. Walk a minimum of 15 miles.
2. Drink at least 64 oz of water a day (goodbye diet pop).
3. Stay within my points range (25-27) every day.
I'd love to add more, but I think i better start small and work up.
Have to add that I hope I do half as well as you guys next week.

One of the biggest things I learned on this thread was how much water I should be drinking every day. The formula suggested was to take your weight and divide it in half, and whatever number you get that's how many ounces of water per day you should be drinking. I know it sounds like a lot (for me it is, anyway) but it's really helped.
I could really use some suggestions from y'all on something.....
My oldest DS is 13. He has suddenly found himself hungry all of the time. I know, it's probably growing boy stuff and all that. He seems to do fine during the day, but at night he gets REALLY hungry, sometimes at 10:00 or later (he's a night owl like DH, and DH will often let him stay up later than I would like, but that's another topic altogether) He's a little on the chubby side so I'm worried about him making good choices, but I don't want him to go to bed hungry all the time. So do you have any good suggestions for things he could snack on? I suggested trail mix - any other ideas? Oh, I should also mention he's a picky eater.
Holy weight loss batman! Congrats!!Will catch up tonight with everybodu\y! Stopped at my sister's work and had to log in to say I went to my WW meeting and weighed in to find out I am...

I haven't read that one, but I bet doing those things can't be bad...Let us know how the next test comes outFor those of you new to the thread I had a really bad week last week and finally made an appt for a physical. I had my Dr. Appt this morning and found out that my levels are off in a couple of different areas. Im really low in Vit D and Iron and borderline off in my Thyroid levels. She decided to take another thyroid test to see what my levels are today. She suggested I look into the UltraSimple Diet by Mark Hyman to do for a week to see if eliminating processed foods, dairy and sugar would make me feel better. Has anyone done that diet plan before? Any recommendations or warnings? I have to go out and find the book since our library doesnt have it.
wow! I missed this one earlier...go grab your tree!!lost 5.4 this week
I totally understand. School starts in a week and a half and I don't even know where the reading lists are!
WOW!!! If your 1535 is falling off the raft then I can't even see the raft from where I am!!You're doing great, every once in a while you need a day to just "sit" and be ok with it! Don't sweat the small stuff, take a REALLY hot shower (or go sit in a hot tub if you have one available), and relax for a day. You'll save up enough energy to swim back to your raft!

Patrick- Here's the thing. I walked over 20 miles this week and it's all your fault. Okay..maybe not ALLLL your fault, but you definitely contributed. When I started all I was doing was logging my food. And every day I'd check in here and see how much exercise you had done, and my jaw would drop. After about three weeks of that, and seeing how much you were losing, I decided I needed to get off my a** and start exercising. So you can't stop now..'cause if you do, I'll totally fall off the wagon and gain 100 lbs. That being said, I know you don't want to have to do all this more than once. I know you have a lot going on right now..get through it, find your new routine, and start kicking butt again!
Nope, not gonna kick you.... yet. Patrick, you've done an amazing job and if you want to take a day off that's OK. Now if you tell me that your "day off" has turned into a month, then we'll have a chat.
Starting up school this week (I'm a), so I will not be here as much - school starting tends to consume my brain...
So Patrick...once I got a fortune cookie that said "The worst form of failure is the failure to try." That really sticks with me. At least try each day - don't give up!
So....tomorrow begins the first school night for me. And Summer Reading: Still Not Done hmmmm sounds like my DD....

Patrick I can only imagine how difficult it will be for you to go back to school. I bet there will be a lot of temptations around you since the cafeteria normally isnt the best place for healthy food. Ill bet you get a lot of comments from your classmates on how much you have changed over the summer. Anyone that is nasty or rude is just jealous of what you have accomplished. Dont let them get you down. You have made a great life choice by eating right and exercising. You are almost at Skinny Island. You need to make it there and get it prepped for the rest of us. You CAN do it!!!
1st. Thank you. I needed that. 2nd. What's "1535" forgive me, I've been up since 5:15am (where's the coffee...).
I think I was referring to your calorie count for that day![]()
