When children stay at a Disney resort do the housekeepers do anything special with the toys that children bring to make them feel special?

When you bring your children to stay at a Disney Resort and if the children bring stuffed animals or toys with them do the housekeeping staff do anything special with the stuffed animals and toys when they service the room to make the children special? Because when I would bring my stuffed animals with me on trips and I used to stay in hotels I always thought it was so wonderful to see my stuffed animals arranged really nicely on my bed and sometimes the maids would give my favorite stuffed animal an extra pillow for my stuffed animal to sit on and I thought it was so wonderful. So i'm wondering if Disney Resorts does the same thing to children with stuffed animals and toys to make the children feel special?

*ETA - currently, housekeeping only makes beds/cleans if staying DVC for at least 8 nights. They will come in on your 4th day. Resort guests will not receive full cleanings as they did pre-COVID.

I miss those towel animals!

With the light housekeeping during Covid they are not making the beds during your stay.. They are giving you fresh towels, taking out trash, replenishing amenities, and wiping down the bathroom sink area. If staying longer they will bring you fresh sheets, but you have to make the bed yourself. Times are different now!

I wonder if PP's photos were taken Pre-COVID.

Current housekeeping rules from the official Disney website:

During Your Stay
Your room will receive light housekeeping service every other day (unless you choose to decline the service). This service will include:
  • Removal of trash and used towels
  • Replenishment of towels and amenities throughout room and bathroom
  • Wiping and cleaning of the vanity and counter surfaces
  • Vacuuming, if needed

That housekeeper at GFV may be the only housekeeper still doing towel animals. I thought DVC told housekeepers not to do it any more because guests complained if they didn't get them. I wouldn't plan on getting anything fancy with your children's toys in the room. Now they touch as little as possible.

Not any more. They don't even come in and clean let alone do something cool like this any more. I'm so sad about it.

Certainly not during COVID. After the pandemic, I am sure they will be too overworked to have the time to do the little magic touches. :( The management is continually making cuts to service and its quality, as well as the staffing levels. I mean, they are luxury-branded hotels with high rates, but they are trying to convince us that we shouldn't expect clean sheets, fresh towels, or anything else that used to be standard with a hotel stay.

We stayed 8 nights at BWV last month, and for some reason had our clean after the 2nd night. Since we weren’t expecting them to come clean, we didn’t put away the small army of stuffed animals that the kids had. We came back to the kids personal blankets folded on the coffee table and all the stuffed animals lined up across the sofa. Nothing fancy, but they did make our beds.

The windows at POP Century have a ledge and many families decorated with their toys, etc. Makes it a fun place to stay as you walk around the neighborhood. Also Grad , birthday,
I guess we have to make our own fun to share but it is still a good thing. Maybe even brightens the housekeeping cast for a small thank you memory.
Anyway ... I checked in to Grand Destino Tower when they reopened and decorated towels were on the bed upon entry... now I am wondering if those beds were same sheets since the March closing.
Guess I survived...

This became my kids favorite thing to do, we had to talk them into window clings because they were packing the whole playroom

As others have said, current policy is you only receive a full housekeeping service once every four days if you are at a dvc resort staying on points. Non DVC hotel guests and cash guests at DVC resorts get trash and towel service only. Some people do get lucky and get extra service, but that should be viewed as pixie dust... enjoy it if you get it but don’t expect it or think you can get it by asking for it.

You only get a full cleaning on day four if you stay eight nights or more. If seven nights or fewer, on day four you get your towels replaced as well as your amenities in the room (coffee, soap, etc).

Going to Disney isn't special enough?? Genuinely curious.

The only time I remember "fun" things being done with stuffed animals was on a cruise when I was 11 and my sister was 6 (not Disney...on the Emerald Seas - and we were in a lowly porthole (when it really WAS a tiny porthole) room with twin bunk berths on either side of the tiny cabin). We did plenty of trips and never felt not special because things weren't done with our stuffed animals. We felt special being taken on a trip.

Yes, but was trying to clarify in my post because others said that but it is ONLY for DVC resort stays booked with points, not cash. Since OP just said “disney resort” and not DVC I was trying to clarify that the other people’s reports of full cleaning on day 4 of an 8 day say would not be applicable if they are a cash resort guest.

I'm confused by your response. If you are staying on a DVC reservation (points or cash through DVC, but not Disney Reservation Center), you must stay eight nights to get a full cleaning on day 4. If you only stay seven nights or less, you get towels and amenities replaced on Day 4 and no full cleaning at all. Cash stays through Disney get limited services every two days.

I agree. My point is only to emphasize that full housekeeping is only possible now with DVC. Not sure what you mean by “cash through DVC.” We stayed at Riviera (DVC resort) booked on the Disney World website for 9 nights and when we asked if we could have sheets changed after almost a week were told we were not eligible for the 4-day housekeeping because we were paying cash and not staying on points.

I just don’t OP getting hopes up because full housekeeping is a DVC only thing right now, which was not clear from some of the prior posts.

We have no kids at all but a couple years ago when we stayed at the Poly, we’d come back to the room and see my gf’s Oswald tucked in sometimes. It was really cute but I doubt it’s a thing with covid.
