When can you schedule a DAS return time: 7:00am, at park opening, or after entering the park?

For the first DAS return time of the day, do you schedule it on the app at 7:00am, at park opening, or when the DAS holder enters the park?

The DAS holder needs to have entered the park.
There is a ’tile’ that appears on the My Disney Experience app after the DAS holder enters the park. That tile is the link you use to schedule DAS Return Times on the app.

I did read the summary thread first, but I didn't see my question addressed in the summary thread anywhere. (Edit: I found it in the summary. It was stuck between 2 visuals, so it was hard to spot, lol.)

When we were there two weeks ago, we did the 30 minute early entry for resort guests and even though the DAS Tile would show up as soon as we scanned into the park, the list of attractions would not show up until later, when the rides would actually start running. It seemed to correlate to when wait times became available. By keeping an eye on it, we were able to get some very early return times for things like Seven Dwarves Mine ride when the wait time was only (and very briefly) 5 minutes.

The guest registered for DAS needs to be in the park.
I noticed that during the early entry I could have chosen to select a show for later but not rides.
Once official park hours started you can get a return time for rides.

I'm guessing that you can't schedule returns for parks you have not hopped to yet? Ex: Get a return time for Flight of Passage while you're inside Epcot.

Correct. You have to tap into the park you want a return time for before it will let you see it for that park.
Ex. I was in MK and hopped to EPCOT and I arrived prior to 2pm so had to wait a few minutes.
I looked at my DAS options were still MK. Once I entered EPCOT I could choose a return time for an EPCOT attraction.

I thought I would piggy back off this one since it was already started - I read through the scheduling thread but I didn't see anything in regards to after hour parties. Is DAS active during that time?

using DAS currently for DB and have been doing early entry. Rides are showing up within the first 5 minutes if they are running during early entry. Was able to grab 7 dwarves this morning at like 8:33 AM.
